Kelston Community Hub have turned the space at the back of the hub into place of garden beds and activity. Brent Mags from My Backyard Garden Project helped to kick start the garden and the hub also hosted volunteers to help put the garden together.
The hub also took part in the Kai Auckland Tomato Movement by planting seedlings and offering free seedlings for community to pick up for free.
Our Activator Michele Eickstaedt connected the hub with The Tomato Movement and Brent Mags. Brent is also working with our Healthy Families Rotorua Team to establish a community garden in Ngongotaha.
