The Warehouse Lincoln Road store won The Warehouse Ltd regional award ‘Store of the Quarter for Community’ for contributing to community by donating crates of excess stock and providing their free time to partake in community events in the Henderson area.

The local store provided space for Dr Tom Mulholland to set up and complete health checks for customers and team members. The team members also went out of their way to ensure donated food and drinks to community events were healthy instead of the usual sugary food and beverages.

The Warehouse team members Pauline Henley and Mhairi Finlay also organised native trees to be donated for a Matariki event held at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Kōtuku. The two team members and other employees from the Lincoln Road store also took the time to plant the trees at dawn alongside Sport Waitakere staff. We gave acknowledgement to Pauline and Mhairi for their efforts.

The efforts come with a companywide philosophy to support workplace wellbeing which extends to community. The Warehouse Lincoln Road has implemented activities around workplace wellbeing to help team members be ‘the best they can’ and ensure wellbeing is part of all conversations in the workplace.
The Warehouse Lincoln Road encourage their team members to get involved in the community and create awareness of the concept of wellbeing so that they can be the best they can in their personal lives, to be even better team members at work.
