New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) is supporting Waitemata Rugby Football Club to start a playgroup to provide a local option for parents and young children to connect, learn and play together.

Part of the NZRL Community Playgroup initiative, Waitemata Rugby Football Club will have mums and their children will take part in a range of activities including; arts and crafts, music, water play, cooking, messy play, sports and outdoor adventure.

The playgroups provide a safe and fun learning environment for children to get valuable early learning experiences, play with other children and for the parents to meet and make new friends.

The playgroup happens every Tuesday from 10am-2pm starting from May 2nd.

This is the second rugby club in Waitakere to launch a play group, Suburbs Rugby Club started a playgroup in November 2016 after being informed about Play groups at our Rugby Cluster group hui facilitated by our Settings Coordinator Tu Nuualiitia
