Healthy Families Waitākere hosted a play hui in June to share mahi and ideas around making communities more active.
Healthy Families Play systems innovators from Waitākere, South Auckland, Lower Hutt, Christchurch and Invercargill looked at ways to progress play at local, regional and national levels. Representatives from the Ministry of Health and Sport NZ also attended the two-day event.
The hui provided an opportunity for our new play systems innovator Bea Enriquez, pictured, to meet with fellow innovators and discuss learnings, connections and share resources.
She explains, “It was excellent to sit down with colleagues and stakeholders and kōrero about what initiatives are already underway and having impact in communities. It was an opportunity to share insights and discuss ways in which we can collectively work together for greater impact and scale.”
